"…I think some of the sounds in what you just heard were what I'd call objet trouvé: they were bits cut out of other things…" says Delia Derbyshire as the beat rumbles along in the last song named after her. It's a perfect expression of the album's production due to it being made of found samples mixed with heavily manipulated recordings. Overly saturated drums thunder beneath the woozy tones of almost unrecognizable instruments. A listening experience purposefully designed to make the your head swoon while the car stereo speakers flex on maximum . The soundscapes and moods change quickly, but form a whole and complete image much like an abstract painting or modern art collage. A lot of energy, time, and passion were put into this mini album. Finding samples, recording instruments and sounds, arranging and rearranging and then rearranging again.
